Tribute to Mark Viney, 1963 - 2025

Dedicated to the memory of Mark Viney

Our dad, Mark Viney, has sadly passed away at the age of 62. We hope he has now found peace and have faith that he is reunited with his dad, Chrissy.

We invite those who knew him, to join us to pay your respects and say farewell. A service and cremation will be held at Thornhill Crematorium, Briwnant Chapel on Wednesday 5th November 2025 at 10am.

Following the service, we have chosen to have a private farewell as immediate family. We invite you to honour our dad in whatever way feels right for you.

In place of flowers, we kindly ask that you make a donation to Mind Cymru, in support of mental health awareness and care.

Chris (Bampa) and Mark enjoying a meal at Llangennech during a motorhome holiday. We spent many hours together at the storage with his "bus" and in Costa or at our house for coffee. He will be much missed.

Vinny was one of life’s great characters and certainly one of the biggest personalities at BEP. If he wasn’t holding court at the coffee machine, smoking a rolly in one of his resident smoking shelters, then he’d be recounting tales of his days at British rail. Vinny always spoke very fondly of his childhood years, often recounting tales of horse riding, boating and camping trips. He worshipped his dad who he sadly lost at a young age. I miss my daily WhatsApp’s from Vinny, or snowy, or Bart, or PORG depending on how far back you knew him. His latest passion/obsession was his ‘bus’ which he spent many happy weekends in with his cherished number plate and its hidden message 😂 I wish he had reached out to us but all we can do know is keep his memories alive, keep smiling my friend 👊🏻
